End-of-Line Bumper Test Equipment

At DEIMA we understand the importance of ensuring quality and safety in every bumper manufactured. Therefore, we design end-of-line test equipment that allows us to thoroughly verify each of the installed components, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards before it is shipped to the end customer.

How do bumper test kits work?

Our test equipment integrates a series of tests that simulate real conditions to detect possible errors or defects. Through the use of advanced technology -including specific equipment from renowned brands such as BOSCH or VALEO- detailed evaluations are carried out, ranging from electrical continuity to the verification of consumption and behavior in the face of obstacles. These tests make it possible to identify and correct any anomaly in the installation of sensors and other devices integrated in the bumper.

Specific Tests

Among the tests carried out, the following stand out:

The correct operation of the sensors is evaluated through continuity tests, attenuation, short circuit detection, power consumption analysis and measurement of specific distances to obstacles.

In addition to the complete test, a specific continuity test is performed to confirm the reliability of the system.

Each of these equipment is subjected to a thorough review that includes obtaining software and hardware versions, as well as power consumption tests, ensuring its operability under conditions of use.

Not only the software/hardware version and consumption are checked, but also the correct mounting of the cameras, ensuring quality images for system monitoring.

The LED lights are tested for power consumption and brightness, while the sensors are verified to be correctly clipped, ensuring an accurate and safe installation.

Registration, Connectivity and Documentation

DEIMA’s test equipment not only verifies each component, but also automatically records all processes performed. This traceability capability allows the system to be connected to SQL databases and customer tracking equipment, facilitating the analysis and documentation of each part. In addition, specific images can be captured during the test process, providing a visual record that supports the quality of the assembly.

Equipment Design and Components

Our test systems are mounted on a solid aluminum profile frame and have specially designed protective masks to support bumpers. They are equipped with highly reliable connectors to integrate the different devices and systems, as well as incorporating bar code or RFID readers and, when necessary, label printers to document the results.

With this methodology, DEIMA reinforces its commitment to excellence in the automotive industry, offering test solutions tailored to the specific needs of each customer and product. Interested in learning more about our customized solutions for bumper testing? Do not hesitate to contact our team.
